Imagine that you are one of the nearly 15,000 kids between the ages of 16-18 who will be graduating or aging out of the orphanage system in just a couple of months. Imagine being given approximately $30 to live on when you leave the orphanage without having been taught basic life skills. What does your future hold? According to statistics, within one to five years:

  • 3,000 engage in criminal activities and are in prison.
  • 5,000 are unemployed.
  • 6,000 are homeless.
  • 1,500 commit suicide.
  • 600 are admitted to universities.
  • 50-60% girls are forced in to prostitution.
  • 30-40% are addicted to drugs or alcohol.
  • 4% attend a university.
